Veor do the Double over Roseland

Veor 27 – Roseland 7

Saturday afternoon saw Roseland travel to Camborne to play Veor, who have moved locations this season, to the old Camborne School of Mines pitch behind Camborne Rugby Club.
Given the recent weather it must be said the pitch was looking in excellent condition and with only a slight breeze the supporters were hopefully in for an afternoon of running rugby.

Kick Off Change

Good Evening

A quick update that Saturday’s kick off time has changed from 2:30 to 2pm to allow for people to hopefully watch the full England v Scotland game that kicks off at 4pm.

Back to Back Wins for Roseland

Roseland 19 – Helston 7

Roseland played their first home fixture after a fortnight of away games and came away victorious with a hard earned win over a Helston side that, not only put 50 points on them just a few weeks ago, but who last week beat high flying Newquay.

After last weeks victory over Camborne School of Mines, Roseland were hoping for another solid performance and building on last weeks good work.

May brace sees Roseland complete the Double

On a wet and windy February afternoon Roseland travelled to Penryn to play Camborne School of Mines for the first of the second half of fixtures.
Following last weeks disappointing defeat to St Agnes, Roseland were keen to bounce back against the opposition they had defeated in early January.

Roseland Punished

St Agnes 50 – Roseland 0

In perfect weather conditions on Saturday Roseland made the trip to St Agnes in a battle of the basement game in the Tribute Cornwall One league.

St Agnes sat one point ahead of Roseland having also struggled against the senior sides and both sides were targeting the game to help elevate them up the table. St Agnes had a strong squad to choose from and Roseland unfortunately had a bare 15 which included hooker Ant Thomas in the second row, regular number 8 Nathan Chapman at scrum half and also a return for prop David “Gerbil” Martin who hasn’t played since before Christmas due to illness.

Roseland 8 – Liskard 40

Roseland Falter versus Liskard

Saturday afternoon saw Wales v England at Cardiff in the Six Nations but the biggest game of the day was Roseland v Liskard at Philleigh in Cornwall One.

Despite the recent wet weather, the howling winds and plummeting temperatures had helped dry the pitch into a playable condition but still left the conditions underfoot to be on the heavy side.

Roseland 3 – Veor 22

Veor outmuscle Roseland

On a dry but breezy day Roseland entertained Veor in the Tribute Cornwall 1 league and were hoping to bounce back from last weeks disappointing defeat away to Helston.
Just a few hours before kick off a deluge of rain came down and saturated the playing surface so any hopes of a game of running rugby were put to bed. This was going to be 10 man rugby with the forwards battling it out and the backs seeing the ball very little.
