First game of the season! Bodmin 83 – Roseland 5

The new-look Roseland side put in a good fight against Bodmin who will be playing in the league above us this season.

August fixtures always mean a few people can’t make it. Today we were without several key players, and our Captain is temporarily lost at sea.

Bodmin kindly lent us a couple of players of our 13  (plus Pellow) who turned out played a lot of rugby today! At half time it was 21-5, then 8 pairs of fresh legs meant the second half turned further against us.

There were some great moments from the team, and overall it shows a lot of promise for the coming season.

Join us next Saturday back at base in Philleigh for our first home game of the season, and the first game of the cup against St Day.

PS – current top try scorer for the season is Shaun Eamer
